THE HOTEL

Sleeping at 2800 metres is possible: the Nacamuli refuge is located in Valpelline, one of the longest side valleys in the region. The structure is named after Alessandro Nacamuli, a mountaineer of the CAI of Turin, and it is in fact the association that manages the refuge.

Nacamuli was first built in 1928, calling itself simply Rifugio Col Collon. The second building, inaugurated in 1994, is one of the most modern refuges in the Western Alps and comfort is assured even though it is at an altitude of 2818 metres. Waking up to a sea of clouds or watching the sun set behind the highest mountains in the Aosta Valley is a unique experience that you cannot miss. The classic hike to the Nacamuli refuge and the historic Col Collon refuge takes place in the severe landscapes typical of the upper Valpelline. You will walk among high and grim peaks, with little known names, in view of severe masses of rock and ice.

THE ROOMS

The refuge has 70 beds, 20 in the winter room. The ascent requires a fair amount of physical preparation and we remind you to carry out these walks always respecting the fauna and flora that make the Nacamuli and the surrounding environment unique.
