DE
LA VALPELLINE
ET DU GRAND-
SAINT-BERNARD

The Valpelline and the Gran San Bernardo Valley occupy the northern sector of Aosta Valley, on the border with Valais, and are home to the most important 4000 m peaks of the Pennine Alps.
Grand Combin and Dent d'Hérens. These peaks are coveted by the many mountaineers who set out every year to discover the most important 4000 m Alpine peaks.
Not only mountaineers: these valleys and their imposing peaks are also the attraction of ski mountaineers and freeriders who, in the snowiest winters, challenge the majestic nature and seek adrenaline and contact with the unspoilt. Always in safety, in this area of the Aosta Valley you can tackle trails, glaciers, walls, canyons, waterfalls and other beautiful sporting experiences. The tourist and sports offer of Valpelline (and the Gran San Bernardo area) is for everyone: anyone can find their own dimension and level in this corner of paradise.

The Compagnie des Guides de la Valpelline & du Grand-Saint-Bernard, which is part of the Unione Valdostana delle Guide di Alta Montagna and the U.I.A.G.M., was set up in 1960 to bring together professionals working in the valleys of Ollomont, Bionaz, Valpelline and the Great St Bernard Valley.
A lot has changed since then, and today our guides carry out most of their activities in these unspoilt and wild valleys, but they are also active outside their territory, and can offer a full range of activities throughout the Alps and beyond.
