ADOPT A COW

AND NOT ONLY...

THE INITIATIVE

The initiative "Adopt a cow ... And not only" stems from the desire to discover and appreciate the tradition of livestock breeding in Aosta Valley to a wider and more aware public. The work and effort that go into making 0-km products and preserving an area are revealed to visitors and to those who decide to leave Valpelline with something more!

By choosing to adopt, you will not only be able to come and meet your new animal friend, but also discover the places where he or she lives and taste the excellent local products, such as our 0 km Fontina cheese.

ARGALISIA

La Petit Ferme

"I'm Argalisia, which in Piedmontese means liquorice, because of my shiny black colour. I am a battle goat, but I have a very sweet and affectionate nature."

CATERLA

La Petit Ferme

"I am Caterla, a spotted sheep born to totally white parents! I'm the mascot of the barn because, as soon as I was born, I couldn't stand on my legs and nobody thought I'd be OK!"

DUMBO

La Petit Ferme

"I am Dumbo, a very young ram. I have very long ears and that's why I'm so funny when I run! Even though I'm a ram, I'm very cuddly and not at all combative."

FIONA

La Petit Ferme

"I'm Fiona, a young bunny born in May 2020. When I'm an adult, I'll weigh in at around 12kg - quite a size! I belong to the species of giant rabbits from Flanders, I am very affectionate, soft and curious".

FRIDA

La Petit Ferme

"My name is Frida. My name is reminiscent of the frisa, a breed I am crossbred with. I was born in 2015 and I'm one of the best milk producers in the barn, as well as being a great cuddler!"

NESQUIK

La Petit Ferme

"I'm called Nesquik because of my beautiful colour, similar to that of chocolate milk! I was born in 2017 from a cross between a sanen goat and a chamois goat from the Alps. My beautiful children are the blondest in the barn!"

ALFREDO

La Petit Ferme

"My name is Alfredo and I'm a Vietnamese dwarf pig who thinks he's a dog! Until recently I liked to escape to the neighbours' vegetable gardens and in fact I am quite well known for my escapes. Now I live happily with my two dog friends."

CAMILLA

La Petit Ferme

"My name is Camilla and everyone tells me I am very beautiful because of the colour of my coat and my sweet eyes. Sdentato has been courting me for a while but I like to play hard to get!"

SDENTATO

La Petit Ferme

"I'm Sdentato and I've been called that because of my protruding teeth that always have to be filed. My dream is to win the heart of the beautiful Camilla, the most beautiful alpaca I know!"

SEVERINO

La Petit Ferme

"My name is Severino and I am a little donkey born in 2015. I am very cuddly and every morning, until I get a carrot or a piece of bread, I keep braying to get attention. I am so spoilt!"
